Folsom, Louisiana

The last week of February Bryan and I went with a group from chruch on a work project to Folsom, Louisiana. We had a really great time, the weather was good, the food was great, and the work was fun! The week started off with the weather in the mid 50s and made it up to 80 degrees by Friday when we left (I know I didn't want to leave).
Sunday was a free day for us so a group of us went to a safari. It was pretty cool. We basically went on a tractor ride around this huge compound and feed the animals, there were 4000 of them. It was pretty cool how close we got to them.

Look at the tongue on that bull!
We were supposed to work on a few Habitat for Humanity Homes while we were there. I guess that down there Habitat works Tues-Sat so that homeowners are able to work on the house, so we made plans to work on the camp that we were staying at. We ended up working at the camp on Tues too because it was Mardi Gras and everything is closed (schools even closed for the week!). We had a lot of fun working on the camp.

We also did a little goofing off too!

Do you think we fit?
When we started on our Habitat house is was the floor and the exterior walls up.

Bryan working so hard

Yes they let me use power tools. Everyone kept checking to see if I had all my fingers......so funny.

By the last day we had the sheeting on the roof and the shingles were delivered.
There are tons more pictures I would love to share but this post is already long enough......hope you enjoyed!

Looks like you guys had an awesome time! Totally reminds me of our MOSES trips in high school! What fun! And a week without the girls? How did you pull that one off?
