Derby Race

This year both Morgan and Liv got trophies at the Derby Race. Last year Olivia got first place so this year the plan was for Morgan's car to be faster than Liv's. Well that plan didn't work and Liv came in first again and Morgan came in third. Morgan didn't mind though, she said as long as a GEM won it was fine with her. (The Cadets could have won this year but they wanted to run the top 12 over again in a second heat and that is how the GEMS won, otherwise Liv would have been in third. I don't think they will do that again!)


Liv's car is the green and blue one and Morgan's is the one with the pink sun.


Liv's car also got the track record! (I forgot to take a picture of that though, oops)

The Butterflies Are Blooming

We went to the Meijer Gardens with my family to see the butterflies.

Live Nativity

This year our church had a Live Nativity. The girls really enjoyed doing it again, Paige especially because she could participate! It was pretty chilly out there but what a great way to tell the Christmas story.

Wax Museum

This year Morgan participated in the 4th grade Wax Museum. Each student had to pick a person from our history and research them. Morgan choose Pocahontas. She did an awesome job researching and finding props. On the day of the Museum she had to be in character, stand in one spot perfectly still, and when someone stood in front of her she could change her position and tell them about herself. She did Awesome!!

First Day of School

Last week Tuesday Morgan started 4th grade and Olivia started 2nd grade, they are getting so old!!!!

Today Paige started 4 yr old preschool, my baby is growing up!!!

For as happy was she was to be starting school today she cried and screamed when I had to leave her there. I felt bad for the teachers because i knew she was going to be fine, she was just being stubborn. When I picked her up she was all smiles and told me how much fun she had. I am keeping my fingers crossed she doesn't do it again.

Its been a while....

since I've posted anything and I don't even know where to begin!!! We had a really busy but fun summer and now school has started. In June we went camping at the Conference with a group from church and had a GREAT time. The kids loved camping so I am sure we will be doing it again next year.


The girls loved playing in the pool. Paige didn't even need me in the water with her the whole time, she was so happy she could touch!

When we got home from camping we went straight to Alena's first birthday party. She really loved her cake.


The last week of June Morgan went to Camp Roger with her friend Emily. They had a great time again this year.


We picked Morgan up from camp and headed straight up to the cottage for the 4th of July weekend. I didn't get many pictures from that weekend.

The girls wanted to be in the parade this year so the plan was to have Morgan ride her bike and Liv and Paige ride on the motorcycle in the the side car. Plans changed and Bryan drove the bike, Liv backed out and I had to ride.


We went to the Fredrick Meijer Gardens with my Cousins who came into town from Georgia. It was super hot but we had a good time.






The last week of July we spent at the cottage for our family vacation. It was a beautiful week and we had a great time.


Morgan learned how to knee board and got up on her first try!!! She was so proud of herself.

We celebrated Morgan's 9th birthday while we were on vacation. We went tubing down the Platte River to Lake Michigan and had ice cream to celebrate.




The first week of August Morgan and Olivia went to a Spring Hill day camp at a local church. The girls abosolutly loved it!



We went to my Aunt Pat's to ride her horses. We have done this for the past 4 summers and the girls love it. We are so happy Aunt Pat is willing to have us over.




This year I got to ride Cody too. The girls were suprised i knew how to ride a horse with out Aunt Pat's help.

I think the last thing we did was go to Binder Park Zoo with Sara, Alena, my mom and Sara's mother-in-law Mary. We were able to feed the giraffes and see all the animal, it was lots of fun.






The girls also did basketball camp, tennis camp, volleyball camp and bunch of other stuff that I probably didn't get pics of. There are a few more things I need to post but this one is long enough so I will work on it later.
